Hudson L-House
The Hudson L-House, designed by noted architects and longtime friends of Mark McDonald—Steven Holl and Dimitra Tsachrelia—was inspired by Holl’s 2019 project, the Architectural Archive and Research Building in Rhinebeck, NY. It now functions as a gallery, library, and private workspace in Hudson, NY.
L-House features an open-plan, flexible interior that includes a gallery space, an office wing, and a floating loft bedroom and bath. Its distinctive “L” shape creates a courtyard that offers privacy from street traffic. The outdoor area includes a reflecting pool and minimalist landscaping by Peter Bevacqua of Claverack, NY.
Our inaugural exhibition, LET IT SHINE, (Summer 2025), focused on artists from the Hudson Valley, celebrating the exceptional creativity of our community.
